The Practise of Archery was of paramount importance in the medieval world. From the legends of the infamous Sherwood Archer, Robin Hood, to the fighting men on the battlefields at Crecy and Agincourt, archery represented the ability to strike swiftly and from afar.

Archery was part of the hunt, of war and of recreation. Men practised from childhood to draw the great bows, and despite the trappings of our technological world, the nature of archery has changed very little in the last thousand years.
Our Archery Events resemble as closely as possible, historical examples of the art of archery, often drawing archers from sports clubs keen to try their hand at shooting "the old way".]
