The Longsword is a single or double-handed sword of over three feet in length and was the weapon of the knight and man-at-arms throughout the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.

Fighters may draw on both historical and modern resources describing the historical German, Italian or English styles of fighting.
Their interpretation and skill will be pitted against others until there is one clear winner. That fighter will be awarded the prize for Longsword champion, 2010.
