ALLEGORICAL JOUST
We present something never before seen in New Zealand.
Joram van Essen, one of the foremost jousters in the world, and a resident of Hamilton, New Zealand, will stand as defender against all comers in a challenged duel using solid lances with steel tips. This is not sport jousting, this is jousting as it was done 500 years ago.
The joust will be performed using the heavy plate armour of the fifteenth century (1400-1499), and represents the height of historical accuracy and spectacle. Do not miss this!
