JUGGA
It's a bit like rugby, only a lot more violent. Jugga is a fast paced game played with the skull of a sheep for a ball. Teams of 8 contest in armour, using weapons to score goals.
The rules are simple. A point is scored by placing the skull into the goal at the backl of the opposing lines. Each skull scores a single point.
Teams are divided into Blockers, armed with a shield and hand weapon; Chasers, armed only with a buckler or dagger for defence; Keepers, armed with a spear and unable to move beyond half-way, and Hewers, armed with double handed weapons.
The only team members allowed to touch the skull are the chasers, all the others must fight to protect them or to open a way for them to score a goal. Each fighter has only a single, good hit before he is "killed" so the game can move very fast indeed.
Jugga rounds are timed and the team scoring the most in a set time wins the match.
